We invite artists from around the world to submit original watercolor paintings that honour the quiet language of the natural world — its petals and forests, its rain-soaked mornings and bird-lit branches.

About the Exhibition
A global celebration of nature in paint
Whispers of Nature is an international open call for paintings that find beauty in the living world around us. Whether you work in sweeping landscapes or intimate florals, misty forest scenes or the flight of a single bird - if nature speaks through your brush, this exhibition is for you.
The exhibition will be hosted on shilpiart.in for three months, giving your work an international stage and the chance to reach collectors, galleries, and fellow artists across the globe. Only Watercolor and/or Gouche paintings on paper are welcome - with atleast 90% of the artwork done in Watercolour and/or Gouache.
There is no submission fee. Applying is completely free. A participation fee is charged only after your work is selected - so you have nothing to lose by applying.

Student discount eligibility: The discounted rate is available to all past and current students of Shilpi's watercolour courses - whether attended online or in person. Students can submit artworks learnt under her guidance as well as made on thier own.
➕ All fees are payable in INR via Razorpay or UPI, and in USD via PayPal. Fees are non-refundable once paid following selection.

What to prepare

Original paintings of any size in Watercolor and / or Gouache only - Atleast 90% watercolour

ARTIST DETAILS
Artist Name and Artist short bio 50-80 words in English. Tell us about yourself and your practice in watercolor.

IMAGE QUALITY
JPEG format. Minimum 300 dpi. Longest side at least 1500px. Artwork only — no frames, borders, or watermarks.

HEADSHOT
A clear photograph of yourself for your artist profile. Vertical orientation, professional or casual.

ARTWORK DETAILS
Title, size (in inches), year of creation, price in INR or USD, Medium/Materials used and a short description of the artwork in 50 words in English.

About Shilpi Gupta
Whispers of Nature is curated by Shilpi Gupta, an internationally acclaimed watercolour artist, author, educator, and founder of shilpiart.in. Through her courses and the AquaEase membership community, Shilpi has taught thousands of artists across India and internationally. This exhibition is an extension of that community - a space to celebrate nature through paint, together.
